Add and Delete Users in Groups

    To manage groups and users, you must first launch the FontAgent® Server Manager. You must also have been granted permissions to manage groups on the server.

    Using the Groups Panel

    To manage a FontAgent Server group, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Group tab in the Sidebar. A list of server groups appears in the top pane of the Server Manager.
    2. Select the group to modified from the list of server groups. You can use the Filter Groups field at the top-right of the pane to help find the right group.
    3. The selected group’s details appear in the bottom pane of the Server Manager.

    Adding Users to a Group

    To add users to a group, first click the Users tab in the menubar of the bottom pane as shown below.

    To add your new user, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Add User button.
    2. Check the users that you wish to add to the group.
    3. Click the Save button.
    4. If you wish the set assignment to expire on a given date, select the date in the Expiration field.
    5. Click the Save button.

    FontAgent Server adds the users to the group. The user remains a member of the group until either:

    • You remove the user from the group manually, or
    • The specified expiration date is reached.

    When you specify an expiration date, the user remains a member of the group until the end of the day of expiration.

    Removing a User from a Group

    To remove a user from a group, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Groups tile in the Sidebar.
    2. Select the group’s name in the top pane of the Server Manager.
    3. Click the Users tab in the lower pane.
    4. Locate the user you wish to remove visually or by using the Filter Users field at the top of the pane.
    5. Click the Remove button to the right of the user’s name and the user is immediately removed from the group.
