FontAgent® Server provides insight into font usage and license compliance across your organization. To view font usage statistics, you must first launch the FontAgent Server Manager.
Automatic Font Usage Tracking
To help you understand your organization’s font usage and license compliance, FontAgent Server automatically tracks:
- Who has been assigned permission to use which fonts
- Which computers are being used by which users
As you assign and remove permissions to font resources, those events are recorded by the server.
Filtering Usage Statistics
Tabs labeled Font Usage appear in the Server Managers’ bottom pane. When you view font reports, the Server Manager displays font-usage information specific to the currently selected object.
To view font usage information in the Server Manager, follow these steps:
- Select Fonts, Sets, Users, Groups, Licenses or Machines in the Sidebar
- Select an object in the top pane

Exporting Font Usage Data for More Analysis

Click the Download XLSX Worksheet button to export a usage report for all fonts on your server into a multi-sheet Excel file that you can then use to:
- Get a quick summary of aggregated font-usage data
- View a list of currently activated fonts
- See a list of fonts that are out of license compliance
- Study your organization’s font usage and license compliance
- Add pivot tables to explore the multi-dimensional usage data
The report below is an Excel worksheet that lists the fonts in a set, and for each font it shows:
- The font’s name, family and foundry
- Number of licensed seats
- Number of assigned users
- Percentage of licensed seats assigned to users
- The compliance status of the font
