Install FontAgent Server Software
If you are using FontAgent CloudServer,™ you don’t need to install server software. CloudServer is a hosted Internet service that is ready and waiting for you and your users to connect to it.
If you’re using FontAgent® Enterprise or TeamServer, follow the directions provided by Insider for installing FontAgent Server software on your Linux, Mac or Windows server hardware.
Gather Required Details
Next, you should gather information required to configure your FontAgent Server by following these steps:
- Verify the network address of your font server. If you are using FontAgent CloudServer, use the network address cloud.fontagent.com.
- Assemble a list of the names and email addresses of users who will be accessing your font server.
- On a computer running FontAgent client software, create one or more folders of fonts that you want to make available on your font server.
- Decide how you want to distribute fonts, by either (a) distributing all available server fonts to all your listed users, or (b) selectively controlling which fonts are distributed to which users.
Configure to Distribute All Fonts to All Users
To configure your FontAgent Server installation to share all fonts with all users, follow these steps:
- Invite users to your server community Learn more
- Create a group called allusers that contains all your users Learn more
- Upload fonts to the server Learn more
- Create a set called allfonts containing all your fonts Learn more
- Share the allfonts set with your allusers group Learn more
If you don’t like the set names allfonts and allusers, feel free to specify set names that you prefer.
Configure to Control Font Distribution
To configure your FontAgent Server installation so you can control which fonts are distributed to which users, follow these steps:
