Add and Remove Fonts in Server Sets

    Sets are used to associate fonts into logical groups for easy assignment of distribution and licensing specifications. You can use server sets to group fonts by foundry, license, designer, classification, project, client, team, department—whatever your workflow requires.

    Using the Sets Panel

    To manage server sets, you must first launch the FontAgent® Server Manager. You must also have been granted permissions to manage sets on the server.

    To manage the contents of FontAgent Server sets, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Sets tab in the Sidebar. A list of server sets appear in the top pane of the Server Manager.
    2. Select the set to be modified from the list of server sets. You can use the Filter Sets field at the top-right of the pane to help find the right set.
    3. The selected set’s details appear in the bottom pane of the Server Manager.

    Modifying Server Set Info

    To edit the a set’s descriptive information, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Info tab.
    2. Edit the set’s Name and Description.
    3. Click the Save button at the top of the Info panel.

    FontAgent Server distributes the modified set details to users of the set the next time they sync with the server.

    Adding Fonts to a Server Set

    To add fonts residing on the server to a server set, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Fonts tab in the bottom pane.
    2. Click the Add Fonts button and the Add Fonts dialog appears.
    3. Check the font(s) that you wish to add to the group. You can use the Filter Fonts field to find the right fonts.
    4. Click the Save button.

    FontAgent Server distributes the newly added fonts to users of the modified set the next time they sync with the server.

    Removing a Font from a Server Set

    To remove a font from a server set, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Fonts tab.
    2. Locate the font you wish to remove visually or by using the Filter Fonts field at the top of the pane.
    3. Click the Remove button to the right of the font’s name and the font is immediately removed from the set.

    FontAgent Server removes the newly removed fonts from users of the modified set the next time they sync with the server, unless the removed font is a member of another set to which the user has permissions.
