Recall Sets from Users and Groups

    To recall (un-distribute) sets of fonts from users, you just remove users or groups from sets. You can also request set assignments to expire automatically. In either case, to recall sets you must first launch the FontAgent® Server Manager.

    Recall Sets from Users

    To recall sets from a user, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Sets tab in the Sidebar and a list of sets appears in the top pane.
    2. Select the font to be removed. You can use the Filter Fonts field at the top-right to help find the font.
    3. Click the Users tab in the bottom pane menu bar.
    4. Locate the user you wish to remove. You can use the Filter Users field at the top-right of the pane to find the user.
    5. Click the Remove button to the right of the user’s name and the server removes the user’s rights to the server set.

    FontAgent Server removes the set and its associated fonts the next time the user syncs with the server. Note that the server does not remove a font if the user is assigned the font elsewhere, either directly or as a part of another set.

    Recall Sets from Groups

    To recall sets from a group of users, follow these steps:

    1. Click the Sets tab in the left Sidebar and a list of fonts appears in the top pane.
    2. Select the font to be removed. You can use the Filter Fonts field at the top-right to help find the font.
    3. Click the Groups tab in the bottom pane menu bar.
    4. Locate the group you wish to remove. You can use the Filter Groups field at the top-right of the pane to find the group.
    5. Click the Remove button to the right of the group’s name and the server removes rights to the server set from all the users in the group.

    FontAgent Server removes the set and its associated fonts the next time the users in the group sync with the server. Note that the server does not remove a font if a user is assigned the font elsewhere, either directly or as a part of another set.

    Expiring Set Assignments Automatically

    You can also remove sets and their associated fonts from users’ systems automatically by specifying an expiration date. In this case, the server removes the expired sets and fonts from user systems the first time the users connect to the server after the expiration date.

    Tracking Font Usage

    Click the Font Usage tab in the bottom pane of the Server Manager to view a table of fonts that have been assigned to the currently selected set.
